BEEN THERE! WANNA GO THERE!

If you've got a family, try to find a hotel suite that his a fridge and stove and microwave and attempt to cook as many meals as you can at the hotel room, or at least make your own cold cut sandwiches. If you bring all the kids up to the Dells for more than two days, you'll wind up spending as much money on food as you are anything else. And many of the restaurants are super busy and have long waits. You'll save time, money and reduce stress by preparing meals by yourself.

There's all kinds of different tours to take of the Upper and Lower Dells, but we've found that Dells Ducks (dellsducks.com) was the best and offered the most interesting tours. You can choose from taking a tour in one of he old military ducks or a 1,200 horse power jet boat. We found that the tours offered here were comparable to any other in the area, and the prices (about $20 per person) were as well. What won us over were the unique boats you get to take the tours on.
