Venice is a day city if you wake up you will soon see as the city prepares to welcome tourists. How do food and drinks deals on boats through the canals, the fish and vegetable markets and the people who live in Venice and goes back and forth running errands before the tourists invade the streets.
Also, if this is not reason enough, most restaurants close around 23:00, and not much else to do, Venice is not a great place to go drinking at night :)
