If you have time and want an experience with the nigériens people, a good idea is to make the trip Tillabery-Niamey into a public pirogue by the River Niger. This excursion takes almost all day, but surely that is rewarded by the experience of the journey and the landscape. Price is around 3.000 CFA for one way. Ask in the riverbank, near the market, and don´t expect anything comfortable, usually are crowded of packages or even animals. Enjoy!!!
