Travel tips
For a little Dracula feeling you don't have to travel to Transylvania. At the "Villa Dracula," a large cave in the Zoo Hellabrunn, Munich you can observe the little vampires with an infrared camera without disturbing them.
Even night tours are offered.
This entire city has beautiful architecture, just walk around and enjoy!
We arrived in late August and it felt like we had dipped into winter almost overnight. Brrr... but thank goodness we had all that hearty food to keep us warm. Of course, made the official stop at the Hoffbrau Haus for beer and pretzels, then the Spatenhaus for the most amazing goat cheese salad on the planet, and then to the local farmers market each day for chocolates and other yummies. Spent a good amount of time walking the city to keep warm, too.
Munich is breathtaking.
I was quite fortunate to spend a year of my life there and it was the best by far. At every corner there is history and beauty; Olympisches dorf, Nymphenburg, Hofbrauhaus and of course the Rathaus on Marienplatz! And if it's your think there's the Allianz arena or if me you like history, Geschwister-Scholl Platz and the Denkmal for the Weiße Rose and the infamous Dachau is only a short train ride away.
You need to visit this city-a wonderful blend of old and new
