depends on how long you'll be in ladakh to pick a transport or other. the bus is something that takes time and is more uncomfortable, but is a wonderful way of relating to the little population that has ladakh. if you have less time you will have to rent a jeep, which is more expensive but more convenient. attempt to share the jeep to share expenses.
