Girona is a small catalan city, in the northern part of catalonya. Catalans are recognized as the people with great pride of their culture and language: Girona can be one of the capital of the catalan pride. You hear more Catalan than Spanish on the street, almost everything is written in Catalan as well.
Walking through the old city center among the narrow streets, looking at the cute houses at the cafe on the other side of the river is one of my favorite in Girona.
