Sant Jordi, the 23 of April, is a special day in Catalunya. It's a romantic day similar to the American Valentine's day, but instead of sweet candies and chocolate, couples and friends give books and roses to each other. The street gets full (I mean, FULL) of people walking around with roses and the book stores open markets with discounted price.

If you're a single, don't be miserable on a romantic day by yourself. You can be as happy as couples if you find your favorite book in good price.

Every summer in BCN, there is an open cinema for 1 week. A picnic on the lawn at night with live music, movie and beer. They have good selection of movies and the last day´s movie is chosen by people by internet pole on their website. Bring food, they have plenty of beer and beverage.
There is a special bus running only for Sala Montjüic, picking up people at Plaza Espanya every 15 minutes. You also might need a small blanket. It's a bit chilly at night.

Maybe it doesn't snow here, but experience the Christmas spirit at its highest level. Every december, "La Fira de Santa Llúcia" is placed next to the cathedral's. It is dedicated to Christmas decorations, with trees, balls, lights, nativity scenes... Furthermore, you will find some catalan traditional characters, like "El caganer" or "El tió". You'll be very surprised when you fins out about them that's for sure!
