The donovan house hotel
This is an amazing hotel, modern styled and pretty new, opened in 2007. Great location to a few streets to The White House. His staff is charming, friendly, and very helpful. The price for one night in August 2009 was 90 Euros. It's has a pool in the rooftop, and a beautiful view from the rooftop bar. Also, has a great Japanese restaurant on the main floor.
Apple fans may know that there's an iPod dock in every room.

Best hostel I’ve been while in the states. The facilities, services and looks are just like if it was a hotel. The prices are so fair (I’d even say cheap) for what you get. The breakfast (muffins, waffles, toasts…) is totally free. Hostel is clean and safe, and the staff is very kind. They recommended us great places to eat.
The location is good too. It’s just 15 minutes away from The White House (and most touristic places) and 10 minutes away from the main metro and train station.
