Big ed's city market restaurant
BISCUITS! CHEAP SOUTHERN FOOD! Not to mention the quaint band I caught late when I went Saturday. I'm not sure, but I think they only have live performances on Saturday nights. After an evening here I felt I got a sufficient taste of the South. The music was a fun, rockabilly-type band and the food was smothered in BBQ sauce. I will definitely make a point to return here for the pulled pork sandwich. Apparently that's what Big Ed's is most famous for. My meal (plus a drink) was around $15.
Bloomsbury bistro
What a date! By the end of our meal at the Bloomsbury Bistro I was ready to die.... and go to heaven. I ate an obscene amount of food! The butternut squash bisque with blue cheese was mouth-watering. The local honey with the the sweet potato puree kicked the pork tenderloin up to God knows where. The prices here were slightly expensive but you'll definitely get what you pay for. All the ingredients were purchased locally and you can definitely taste that fact in the food.
