Things to do in Niagara Falls

They say the best place to see The Falls is from the Canadian side. Well for $13.50 you’ll be seeing The Falls better than any Canadian or American – right in the water! Seriously, you can’t beat the cost. Tours leave every fifteen minutes so they’ve eliminated the stress of waiting in line, etc. They’ll give you a free blue poncho that will keep you somewhat protected you from the spray from The Falls. I think this is the same boat Jim and Pam from "The Office" got married on.

I just recently discovered this unique and cheap way to see The Falls and I've been here many times. For $11 you’ll get a poncho, a pair of sandals, a waterproof bag, and a view of The Falls like no other. All of these articles are necessary because trust me, you are going to get very wet. After you take an elevator down to an observation deck, you’ll walk on these wooden walkways that twist and turn and vary in degrees of wetness. The force of the wind from the crushing water is fascinating.

For as cheesy and let’s face it sleazy as Clifton Hill is, this Ripley’s Museum, located in the heart of it, is actually pretty cool. Definitely a “must-try” if you’ve never been to a Ripley’s Museum. We ended up here once randomly, drawn in by the giant horizontal “Empire State Building” with an attached King Kong. The museum is small but it’s filled to the brim with a lot of oddities: shrunken heads, a mold of the smallest man ever, proof of two-headed goats...
