Rent a bike
Central Park is huge. Its 60 blocks long and 4 avenues wide so it takes a lot of time to walk through it and don’t miss any spot of this great oasis in the middle of the skyscrapers jungle.
So, go to the Boathouse at the lake (77th street metro stop is the closest) and rent a bike. DO NOT rent them from the people outside the park. It’d cost you like 9$ and hour (45$ the whole day). Then ride to the Diary to get a map and you’re good to go!

Awesome place to rent a bike
One of the cheapest places in the city to rent bikes ($7/hour, or $35/day) and close to the Central Park. The people that work there are cool and super knowledgeable.Bikes are generally well maintained.Bike Rental comes with free helmets and the cycling map. The location, cost, and service nice. I'd happily rent here again.
They offer 55 Off when you make a online reservation.

M&m store
This is one of the greatest things about Times Square: gigantic brand stores.
The M&M’s store is great not just because of all the merchandising but also because It’s a perfect place to look around while tasting all coloured-kinds of chocolate. Dinner and fun for free ;)
Also, if you want a funny original New York souvenir, this is a great place to do it. I bought a few M&M Liberty Statues filled with candy to some people and everyone loved it ;)

Great chance to enjoy a free overview of Central Park. You can do it as you visit the Met Museum. In summer months the open-air roof at the building stays opened. People usually go up there just to take pictures despite the fact the roof is part of the exhibition space of the Museum and every year it is devoted to a single artist. There is also a Cafe that pm a Cafe serves drinks Fridays and Saturdays after 4pm.

Thinking you can go everywhere by walking in NYC is a common error among freshman tourists. You’ll hear yourself saying things like: “It’s only 10 blocks!”. Well, ten blocks is a lot… especially when you probably have 20 more blocks on your back.
Buy a metro-card. They are cheap and convenient. You have a lot of different kinds of cards: day pass, three day pass, 7-Day pass… and you don’t need to buy more than one: they’re rechargeable. At first you’d think you’re not going to take the

Don´t waste your precious time booking a half-day excursion to Liberty Island. Instead, take the Staten Island Ferry ( yes, the same one that Melanie Griffith took everyday to conmmute in "Working Girls"). It is free and the views are absolutelyy breathtaking. Total duration: 2 hours aprox. Train: South Ferry.
