Hotel 17
Woody Allen shot one of the most hilarious sequences of "Manhattan Murder Mistery" in this hotel. Don´t expect either a Ian Schrager look or a spa. On the contrary, you will sleep surrounded by old fashioned furniture, wallpaper and floral bedspreads. Its fantastic location in LES and its good rates make this hotel a solid value both for movie freaks and for average travellers. Note: Bathrooms are mostly shared.

I've tried some places in NYC to stay and this is the best one. If you are looking for a cheap, well located and clean hostel, this is the one.
Its location is excelent and, though we had some booking problems, the nice staff solved them quickly.
The best addon is the roof terrace. Yo can enjoy (free) breakfast there, with a beautiful view of the city.. or just hang out and meet new people.

It just opened in mid-May after a great press coverage. This so-called buget hotel (150 € aprox) epitomizes the new breed of hotels. Good bye to the design hotels, it is time to welcome subtle details and a more human-oriented spaces. Boho furnishing and boho concept for boho people. Simplification seems to be the fanciest word of 2009. Corporate image is cool so grab notebooks, pencils and all that you (legally) can.

We are tired of reading that it´s time for solid values. Well, this hotel is one of them. Located in Midtown, close the beautiful Grand Central, this place is one of the grand dames of the business. Cheaper that Waldorf and some other icons, it shares with them the same magnificient spaces, functionality and really long corridors. If you wanna feel part of the American "grandeur" without spending two much, this is the hotel to stay. And now, there are terrific offers.

Imagine the situation: You are exhausted by doing shopping uptown and plan to devote the entire afternoon to MoMA. Well, the ideal scenario is to rest for half an hour and leave the staff you bought somewhere. The Shoreham is perfect since it is located just two streets from MoMA. If you are luck enough you can get a room with a view over its back façade. Rooms are not huge but this is New York... But you will have cool architecture. Aveda amenities and complimentary capuccino also help!

Very cheap hostel at the upper west side. It’s just a few blocks away from the Central Park and has a nice lobby with a big screen TV and internet access. The worst thing of this hostel is very under-numbered in bathrooms and showers.
If you go to this hotel and use the subway to move around, it’s better to take the 2 line, it’s twice faster than the 1 line ;)

If you like movie locations and myths try this hotel. "Godfather" and "Bullets over Broadway" were shot here, so there must be something in the air that reminds director to crime and blood. Apart from that, it is a warm, well-located hotel.

Locaton, location and location. This is the most selling argument to reserve a room in this hotel. It is right in Washington Square which makes you feel a Henry James character immediatly. Art-Deco lobby is nice, rooms are small but it doesn´t matter if you open the window are feel yourself a burgueoise newyorker
