Little cafe with sandwiches and a long list of teas. They also have burritos and bagels and other snacky lunch foods.

Vegan and vegetarian friendly.

Palomino bar and restaurant

I know this place better as a bar than a restaurant, but its a nice rocknroll bar that's just a block away from lake michigan.

Dark and moody you can have your beer with buffalo wings, or the vegetarian option, tuffalo wings.

Cute restaurant with lots of options for vegans, vegetarians and the meat eaters (if you order enough beer on Sunday they'll give you a basketfull of bacon).

The brunch is killer and the simplest sandwiches are divine. There's a great selection of drinks and teas too plus cocktails and various micro brewery beers.

The spy house

Getting into the Spy House is a whole lot of fun. I’ve provided you with the address so now you are left to do the rest. An inconspicuous yield sign is the only clue of the restaurant’s whereabouts on a presumably empty downtown alley. Once in, that is if you make it through “interrogation” – you will – you’ll discover a ‘60s mod themed restaurant. Every booth has it’s own Austin Powers-like aesthetic. Personally I enjoy the “Geisha” booth that’s completely enclosed by dangling beads.
