The Gene Siskel is a splendid, independent movie theater that showcases foreign films, documentaries and lecture series. It’s really a great juxtaposition of big cinema comfort – stadium seating, comfy seats, and nice screens – with interesting, hard to find cinema. Often times when movie premiers here they’ll run a Q & A session with the director afterward, so that’s a real treat. The (cash-only concession stand serves super fresh popcorn as well as beer and wine.
