Shakespeare's globe theatre
Popularity
This theatre is a reconstruction of an old theatre built in 1599 by "The Lord Chamberlain's Men", that is William Shakespeare's company.
The old theatre burnt was rebuilt and then demolished. This new reconstruction opened in 1997.
Amazingly you can see a great deal of Shakespeare's plays in this beautiful theatre for only £5. That is, if you stand in the yard with the populace. (seated tickets go from £12-£30).
This place belongs to the following guides: Day boat trip on the Thames, London, On a mission to ...., London and London
