The grapes pub
Popularity
Very original tiny pub built in 1720. Charles Dickens describes this pub saying "In its whole constitution it had not a straight floor, and hardly a straight line". And indeed this thin building conserves those old traits.
Upstairs there's a seafood and fresh fish restaurant. Delicious! (but book in advance!) Downstairs, good beer, a couple of tables, simpler food and a tiny terrace overlooking the Thames. Trully authentic.
The easiest way to get there is Limehouse DLR or car.
This place belongs to the following guides: A weekend of London Pubs, London Travel BlogCamp and London
