The praktik hotel
The Praktik is a low cost hotel with modern and simple design, located in the city center of Barcelona. Only a few blocks away from the famous La Pedrera, you'll be able to make your own route on foot around the hotel without maps.
The terrace heading the typical Eixample discrtict was a great place to relax in silence with full sunshine. Free wi-fi!

A Low Cost design hotel in a great location at Rambla Catalunya. The building of the hotel is named Casa Climent Arola, a modernista style building, from a century ago. You can find the remainings of the touch of modernisme in every details in the hotel.
Useful tip, in case you are booking a double room, ask for the double room with the terrace to the patio. The spacious and beautiful room full of natural sunlight, is the place you can feel Barcelona in 100%. Free Wifi!

The urban suites.com
Overall an excellent place to stay. A brilliant location, walking distance from the train station, with good transport links (buses, underground, taxis). A very good range of local shops and many varied places to eat. The apartments are perfectly clean, modern, with air-conditioning and quiet at night. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment, with two bathrooms, a very well equipped kitchen and a private terrace but there are small appartements with just 1 room. Free Internet WIFI, staff very nice.

Nest hostel barcelona
there is a new hostel in town. The same people who run both red and purple hostels in valencia, have recently opened a new one in barcelona: the yellow nest. It is great to travel to different places and be sure to find the same standards as you are used to have in your trips: clean, friendly and cheap!

Chic & basic tallers hostel
this place was both chic and basic. It has all the basic amenities - sink, toilet, shower, TV, bed - all with a little flare. The balcony was great to have in the morning. One of the awkward things was the toilet and the shower shared a sliding door so you could use only one at a time. The staff were very accommodating. There was free WiFi, and we got the keys and codes to come and go when we wanted to. The price was about 90€ per night. This is located 2 blocks from La Rambla. Thumbs up!
Hello bcn hostel
Amazing Hostel! Best I've seen!
Very good location - close to old city, pier and shopping areas. Very clean and great rates.
Rooms have individual lockers for storage of backpacks, security bracelets that get you into building after hours and free internet/kitchen use.
Grocery store just down the block and only a block from the metro entrance.

The apartment is located in the oldest district of Barcelona: El Barri Gòtic. In this area you can visit many of Barcelona’s most important sightseeing spots - Cathedral of Barcelona, the old Roman Walls and the Catalan Historical Museum. Have a walk around beautiful squares like Plaça del Pi, or Plaça de l’Angel.
