juice bar and vegan restaurant with cheap menus of nice quality. You´ll chosee between indian thali and some western dishes with a good bread. you'll be full for more or less 8'50 euros. nice ambience and a good idea to eat healthy and original food.

This restaurant is inside the Santa Caternia's market, a beutiful building besides the gothic. Is a big open space, and probably you need to wait a while if you want to eat there.
You can get recipes of different countries made with fresh ingredients. You can see the kitchens, the products, the desserts, light displays recommending dishes...

If you need a break in your walk through the gothic probably you like this little coffee shop that sells delicious bakery products made on different convents a monasteries. Yummy!
A big display window makes people stop and see with desire. The basement is downtairs, a quiet place to complete this experience.

A nice and cool restaurant near the city center. You will fall in love with the food, the cocktails and the decoration :)
Probably you will enjoy with the fried green tomatoes and probably you will wait for a while if you do not call before to book a table.

The restaurant Fonda España is part of the Hotel España. It is located on small street paralell to the Ramblas. It has the original 1904 modernist decoration, work of the prestigious modernist architect Domènech i Montaner.
The Hotel has two stars, so don´t expect too much from the food, but it is worth the visit just to enjoy the impressive decoration. They have a nice 16€ menu. It´s probably the cheapest way to enjoy modernism in Barcelona ! ;-)
