Conserveira de lisboa
This tip is not new at all but I like to insist: you cannot go to Lisbon and skip this place. Hundreds of tinned fish in a wonderful packaging. It is lovely to see a dressed-up lady wrapping the tins with the colourful paper ( see the image by www.monocle.com). Besides, it is the best place to buy gifts for friends.

You might be one of these persons who need to check the best multibrand store as they arrive to a new city. Well, this is the best multibrand store in Lisbon. The brands? Prada, Jil Sander, Marni, Louboutin and so on. The store? The classical white-cube space where the local fashion gang meets.

You like the idea of buying a souvenir, but you also deteste the idea of carrying back home something terribly tacky. In this store, close to Convento do Carmo, you can get a bunch of things that you will love to display at home. Local iconography with a cool twist.

If you think that past time was better, take a look at this lovable shop. It sells products that have been important in daily life in Portgal for a long time. Therefore, you can find sopas, pencils, creams, papers...Its owner is a journalist that has been an extensive research in order to ffer the most enchanting and nostalgic pieces. It is a real travel to the past. Great for good-taste souvenirs

Lisbon is definately a shopping city. One of my favourite places to go shopping is the little shops in Bairro Alto. From high street fashion to independent designer shops, little grocery shops, trendy hairdressers or simply souvernirs, I bet you can find anything here.

If you enjoy 70´s interiors, you will adore this tobacconist´s . Funded by an Englishman in the late 19th century but refurnished later, it preserves the charm, the furniture and the atmosphere of the good old times. A real real vintage shop.
