Things to do in Ilha de Moçambique

World Heritage Site and the first capital of Mozambique. Macuti constitutes, in one half of the island, the colonial stone city of the Portugueses, old and abandoned but with charm. In the other half lives the local people, of ethnic Makua, in their elementary houses and bustling streets full of African life.
Churches and chapels, a mosque and a Hindu temple talks about the mix of cultures. The island is small and easy to walk it around.
