Places to stay in Ilha de Moçambique

Hotel colonial tastefully decorated by an Italian. Double and triple rooms with bath and without (cheaper), swimming pool, bar and restaurant run by a French. Very nice and quiet. Situated in the center of the stone city. A good choice. Help you with dhow in excursion or pick-up.

As the tourism is increasing in Ilha, there are many pensions in the stone city, sometimes changing their names (Amy, Chamom...). Basic, but the cheapest option of accommodation and breakfast. Asked on the same street and the children you guide.

4-star hotel, the most luxurious in Ilha and owned by a former Mozambican president. It´s situated on the northern tip of the island and opposite the fort of São Sebastião. Expensive restaurant.

Beside the Mosque and Fish Market. Hotel with another Italian taste for decoration. Rooms of various sizes. Swimming pool and restaurant. Breakfast included. While not you stay here you can visit and admire the decor.
