Hotel colonial tastefully decorated by an Italian. Double and triple rooms with bath and without (cheaper), swimming pool, bar and restaurant run by a French. Very nice and quiet. Situated in the center of the stone city. A good choice. Help you with dhow in excursion or pick-up.

Near Reliquias restaurant. Offer basic, with two or three dishes and menu. But a cheaper option for lunch or dinner. Good soups. Sometimes they have indian samusas.
Fortim de sâo sebastiâo

In the far northeast of the island. Building started in 1545 as a defense for maritime traffic of Portuguese in the spice route and the market for slaves, gold and ivory. It was attacked by pirates and Dutch, Arabs, Turks and French. Inside is the chapel of Nossa Senhora do Baluarte, of 1522, the oldest Catholic building in Mozambique. The sailors prayed there to thank divine protection during the long sea voyage. Outside is the Dugong Dive Center, to drink a soft drink and relieve heat.
Omuhipiti hotel

4-star hotel, the most luxurious in Ilha and owned by a former Mozambican president. It´s situated on the northern tip of the island and opposite the fort of São Sebastião. Expensive restaurant.
