There’re no mandatory vaccination requirements, but vaccination against tetanus, hepatitis and typhoid fever and carrying your Yellow Fever Card is recommended. Depending on time and season, malaria treatment is also recommended.
As far as safety is concerned, Mozambique is a relatively safe country, although if you’re staying in big cities (Maputo, Nampula, Beira) or in one of the northern areas (Palma, Mocimboa de Praia, Pemba) careful watching of your belongings and avoidance of walking alone at night is advised.
