The Elephant Festival and Holi Festival weekend in Jaipur is a riot of colour! The elephants were decked out in their finery, living canvases paraded proudly by their dignified riders. Dancers swirled around them frenetically, with demure female characters dressed in lehenga choli revealed to actually be men! The day ended with a "take no prisers" paint fight, us against an army of gulal-slinging Indian kids - it took DAYS to scrub the bright colours from our skin. An unforgettable experience!
