If you get a taxi or a bus you will enjoy the sourronding area and the Taoist Temple in the hills.maybe you'll find some areas close. This includes the walkways between man-made caves in the mountain. There is a pagoda above, on the hill. From here there is a great view over the city.

The island is a nice place to see a lot of varieties of birds. It is protected by the policy of the local government. Each March and April when the ice covering the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau begins to melt, more than 20 kinds of migrating birds come to the island to breed. Flocks of birds cover the whole island and bird eggs can be found everywhere. Visitors can hear the birds songs from far away
Is an impressive mosque nice to walk arround and also to take pictures but you can not get inside.
It was founded at 1379 and is important for the whole tibetan nation because was the birth place of Tsonkahapa, the founder of the yellow sect gelugpa. There's so many temples, estupas and mandalas but is one of the monasterys more controled by the chinese goverment. It's a shame because is full of chinese tourist and you can not find the nice tibetan ambience. anyway, is important for their history. Tikets are 85 yuan.
It is China's largest inland salt-water lake is at 3200 meters above sea level. The lake occupies an area of 4456 kilometers. The ellipse-shaped lake looks like a huge white leave setting among alpine prairie. Scenery in Qinghai lake varies according to seasons. It is nice to walk and spend all the whole day with a picnic.
