The capital of the Nabateans was ranked as the seventh wonder of the world. In a prodigious natural environment is part Petra, a town carved into the rock with more than 850 monuments, most of them impressive tombs. Access by the Siq, a product of an earthquake canyon, is spectacular. And the view from the royal tomb of the Treasury, the most photographed image of Jordan, is unique. The place deserves at least two full days. One-day ticket 22 euros, two days, 29 euros.
