Maybe it was the time of year we visited this place (late March), but this place was really disappointing. There are actually 2 Chinese gardens side by side, almost identical, one is free entry and the Dr Sun Yat-Sen Gardens are paid entry (12 each plus taxes). It was really small and we had seen everything in about 15 minutes. I wouldn't recommend this place. Considering the other amazing (and simplistic) Chinese garden's throughout the rest of Canada, this is NOT up to par.

It's too bad this reviewer did not like the gardens. I think it depends on what you are expecting.
The garden is small but if you take some time and soak in the simple beauty and peaceful calm atmosphere, you will begin to appreciate it more. I would definitely recommend the free side of the garden. The small museum is also worth a look.
