The aim of the design is to respect and respond to the surroundings. It is sited neatly amongst the natural landscape. A masterplan was created to identify eight topographically unique zones. The intricate site zone of each setting informed the form and tone of each structure, engendering a sense of continuity and concordance with the natural landscape. The house is one of eight retreats created for city dwellers to escape to the countryside
Gandantegchinlen is the complete name of this monastery, one of Mongolia´s most important. Building in 1838, has undergone several destructions and reconstructions, as almost all the monasteries in Mongolia. Inside the complex, you can find several interesting things: the Ochidara Temple, the statute of Tsongkhapa, Migjid Janraising Sum, etc. Open from 9:00 am. to 21:00 pm. Small entrance fee.

It has 3 floors, where you can see from the Stone Age, petroglyphs, deer stones, costumes of Mongolian´s ethnic groups, musical instruments,etc.
