87km from Srinagar, at an altitude of 3,000 metres there's a nice valley to rest and walk or to start any of the treking routes. This little valley lies at the foot of the Zojila, only a day's journey away from the sacred cave of Amarnath. It is full of shephards with pasture faces. Nice place.
