Amarnath is 145 km east of Srinagar in Kashmir. There is an ice Silva-lingam here that changes size with the seasons, and also as the moon waxes and wanes it becomes bigger and smaller.

one of the most beautiful places on earth, the town of Pahalgam (Village of Shepherds) offers breathtaking views. If you want to relax there maybe don't go in june because is full of domestic tourism and is quite noughty, but is a nice way to trek on some of the many mountains. One can trek to Lidderwat, Kolohoi Glacier or to Sonmarg. Snow skiing is an attraction during the winter months (from December to late February).
