Gilsangsa, literally meaning "benign buddist temple", used to be a high society saloon for many hundred years until the owner decided to dedicate the place to the buddhist community.
On every important Buddhist holidays and day of remembrance in the ancestors, the temple is decorated with colorful lamps, and people come to pray.
If you expect something more than just visiting, participate in their temple stay program, which is open for the foreigners as well.
