One of the classiest places to see a live concert in San Francisco, the Great American Music Hall was built in 1907 and is the city's oldest venue (remember the big earthquake of 1906 that laid the city out).
They set up great shows of different genres and the sound is always great. There's excellent views from the upstairs balcony...get there early and you can get a table overlooking the stage.
