If you're lucky enough to be in San Francisco on the third Sunday in May, it'll be hard to miss this century-old foot race that engulfs a massive cross section of the city for a day. It started as an activity to build city morale after the 1906 earthquake, but has since grown into a glorified booze fest that brings out the craziest of the crazy in a town full of them. It's as much about the spectacle as it is the race.
