Alamo square is a great park up on top of a hill that offers great views of city hall and downtown SF. The friendly neighborhood folks here also project the occasional movie. A great place to get a bit of sun or have a little picnic.
Visitors also have views of the famous "painted ladies" a row of victorian houses that are painted to accentuate their ornate architecture.
