While living here he met Allan Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac.
The Jeremiah O’Brien is a liberty ship built during World War II and name after its captain during war. It’s the only ship that survived the armada that arrived at Normandy on D-Day. It is now an open ship-museum.
The Jeremiah was used by James Cameron as a filming location for his Oscar winner movie Titanic. He used the interiors of the ship, specially the engines room scenes.
