This is the largest urban regional park in the United States. There are many hiking trails in the park.You can find your own little piece of paradise without going out of town. They have a wonderful visitor center there to explore. One of my favorite hikes is through Oak Canyon. Right now the wild flowers are out and the native grasses are so beautiful. It is not uncommon to see coyotes in the park. The San Diego River runs through the park.Great place for bird watchers. Easy to access.
