The Klehm Arboretum and Botanic Garden

ADD TO MY TRIP

It’s always a different, beautiful sight here depending on the season. This nonprofit arboretum and botanical garden located in Rockford, Illinois was established in 1910 by landscape architect William Lincoln Taylor and bought by the Klehm family in 1968. One of their Bur Oak trees in their arboretum (a collection of trees with over 50 different species) is estimated to be 300 years old. The tree collection is meant to represent all the major regions of the Northern Hemisphere in one location.
