This is my favorite Frank Lyold Wright home. It’s so whimsical, I just imagine growing up here as a child would have been a blast. The house was built for Herbert Fisk Johnson, a pilot. Wright designed a “bird’s nest” in the center of the roof for the children so they could watch their father as he flew by in his plane. The living room is like a gigantic dome with a tall, sculpted fireplace in the center. The girl’s room extends outside the home like it’s floating.
