Impressionist paintings, including apparently the world's largest Monet collection, but also other things -- there's a third floor with older artifacts. This museum is a fraction of the size of the bigger Paris museums but I still spent a good 3 hours in there; the smaller space makes for an intimate experience. A thoughtful and focused collection, I'm particularly glad for having discovered Morisot here.

The interiors are incredible, take the "Visite libre" to just walk around and admire the opera house. (The only bad thing was the instrumental greatest hits they played in the background...)
Apparently the stage is mostly used for ballet; opera performances are held in l'Opéra Bastille.

Science museum. Some stuff is old and worn. But the actual science on display is quite ambitious, you can learn stuff here, although most text is in French.
A nice touch is that several of the labs that were used for research in the olden days are today still in use; scientists in white coats do popular science demos for the kids.
