Mission San Buenaventura

ADD TO MY TRIP

Mission number nine was built in 1793 and was the last to be dedicated by the Franciscan Junipero Serra. Like the other missions in California the original building had suffered earthquake damage, but attempts have been made to keep the building as close to it's original appearance as possible.
In addition to new bells the mission has on display two 18th century wooden bells that were used when the mission opened.

Entry is $2 for adults.
