The Mountain View Cemetery is nice place to go for a walk. That being said, it is especially interesting because it's where you can find the grave of Elizabeth Short, better known by the nickname Black Dahlia, the victim of an unsolved murder in LA in the 1940s.
"Millionaire's Row" has more spectacular looking graves, and many of the last names there will sound familiar to those with some knowledge of California's history.
The higher up you go the better view you'll have of the bay.
Private saunas and hot tubs by the hour (or half hour). It's actually a cool, clean, cheap, and relaxing place. A shootout here led to the death of the very young Bobby Hutton. Eldridge Cleaver was also wounded in the gunfire and seven black panther party members were arrested. The shootout took place just two days after Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated.
