Someone walking around little Italy told us that this neighborhood gets bigger and bigger each year and they have “invaded” the Chinatown area.
Little Italy is full of restaurants where you can enjoy good pizza and pasta. And, if you’re lucky and they are in the middle of holidays, you can enjoy a nice colourful decorated little Italy.

Little Italy is a bit of a tourist trap. And it's actually Chinatown that keeps getting bigger and invading Little Italy's turf - many of the original Italian residents have moved out. I wouldn't recommend eating there as most of the restaurants are overpriced, but it's worth walking through and maybe buying some gelato or pastries at Ferrara. My fave time of year to visit is in September for the Feast of San Gennaro. It's gaudy and crowded but I think it's fantastic in all its tacky glory.
