Inwood is a Manhattan neighborhood. Its location is good because is right beside the bay so some places have very good sights of Manhattan. It’s close to downtown so it has several restaurants.
Almost all outdoor street scenes in the Oscar winner movie Precious were filmed in this neighborhood.

Correction: Inwood is NOT in Brooklyn. Inwood is a neighborhood in north Manhattan - it is the northernmost part of Manhattan, to be precise. The neighborhood has a large population of Dominicans and is home to the last natural forest on the island of Manhattan - Inwood Park. The Hudson and East Rivers converge here. It's an unusual and lively neighborhood that's worth a visit.
