This green space in the south end of Manhattan is a great place to take a rest while enjoying harbor views. You can also enjoy outdoor concerts or visit several memorials or the Castle Clinton National Memorial.
The most interesting thing is the ferries. You can take the free Staten Island Ferry, which I recommend, and the Ellis Island Ferry (the one that takes you to the Statue of Liberty too).

The walk from battery park to rockefeler park is amazing! It's the best thing to do after taking the ferry :)
