Great city museum, right next to a small part of the old wall that wrapped around london in medieval times. The focus of the museum goes from pre-history to modern times with some roman and saxon artifacts, but the most interesting are the sections about grubby old victorian England and the Great Fire, complete with a narration of extracts from Samuel Pepys diary.
