One of the best art museums in the Midwest, this place is a must visit if you're in the Kansas City area. The American and American Indian art collections were my two favorites. The American Indian exhibit has been around since the museum's opening in 1933 and now features over 1,500 pieces of pottery, basketry, quill and beadwork, textiles, paintings and sculptures. Best of all, admission is every day (though there's a fee for some special exhibitions).
