Ibo island

recommendation by fer

Known as the younger sister of Ilha de Mozambique, the first capital of the country. It was an administrative town in the days of the Portuguese and was used for trade in goods and slaves, given the proximity of Madagascar. Recovered by Frelimo in 1975. Still keeps Portuguese fortresses of Cologne, as well as the design of its streets and old buildings. Alongside this, local people living in their traditional houses.
10 euros is charged for access to the island.
