Things to do
Start at the end of Ses Salines beach and head toward Es Cavallet along the coastal road. On your trip you’ll discover virgin beaches, pine forests, and the rock cliffs where part of the rocks used to construct the walls of Dalt Vila came from. It’s a wonderful trip to make in late afternoon, because during the day in the summer, it’s sweltering. Another great option is to follow the coast from Cala Compte to Cala Bassa, where you’ll discover small coves for enjoying a swim in clear blue waters.
Mamouth Ibiza is a tour group that organizes walks by moonlight from June to September. The walking groups consist of about 50 people. The walks are very pleasant, and it’s not necessary to be in especially good physical shape.
On weekends in April/May and October/November (when the weather is not as hot as in summer), between 10am and 2pm, you can participate in various activities: beach yoga, program’s for children, sailing and kayaking classes. You’ll find these activities on Talamanca and Figueretes beaches; registration is free. You even get a €6 discount at some of the beaches’ bars and restaurants when you participate. Tel 971 399 232. E-mail: informacioturistica@eivissa.es.
On Ibiza, you’ll find lots of varied options for biking, with all sorts of planned routes and even some trails appropriate for family members of all ages. I recommend that you establish beforehand which trail is right for you. For ideas, take a look at www.ibiza.travel and www.santaeularia.net.
