Remember Hurley won the lottery. Well, he bought a new home for his family to live, a huge one. We see them several times in his flashbacks but my favorite is when Hurley, as an Oceanic Six, explains in 1 minute what did he do in the island when he was lost.
Things to do
Before Hugo wins the lottery, Reyes family lives in a modest home. The real set location is in a residential area at Honolulu.
This is actually a beach but not the usual one: instead of sand there is rock. This was used in Lost a couple of times when they go to the Black Rock. They flipped some of the scenes in the editing room so the location doesn’t look exactly like it does on reality.
This area was a royal bathing spot when only native Hawaiians lived there. Now is not recommended to swim there but the place is certainly beautiful and it’s been a filming location for several Lost scenes as you can see in the pictures.
This Honolulu church was the filming locations for the gatherings where Locke meets Helen at the beginning of second season of Lost. The church is inspired on New-England architecture.
