Remember to have your passport ready as you enter the dilapidated city/territory of Gibraltar. There are buses once you get into the city, walking is nice though, but beware that the climb up to the top of the rock is steep, and is where you'll find these disarmingly tame monkeys (the only ones living in the wild in Europe).
Things to do
There are several intricate networks of tunnels running through the big rock that is Gibraltar. These ones were built during WWII when Churchill was convinced that it was going to come under attack. Inside you can find the old barack style accomodation (they say it could hold 10,000 soldiers) and some graffiti from the time period. There are some big old arms there as well. There's another set of tunnels called the Great Seige Tunnels to check out too.
